The Town of Oakland, MD announces the return of the Little Yough Summer Music Festival (LYSMF) summer concert series, which takes place at the Mountain Fresh Pavilion in the heart of the Oakland Arts & Entertainment District. This year marks the 26th year for the concert series. The LYSMF was started in 1996 by Ken Perrin as a showcase of area and regional singers, songwriters, and talent.
The family-friendly, free concerts are held at the Mountain Fresh Pavilion in the Oakland Town Parking Lot on select Friday evenings. Food vendors normally open at 6 p.m. and the performances begin at 7 p.m.
One of the best folk shows anywhere around. Buffalo Run is a full band of traditional instruments including a hammered dulcimer! These fellas have known each other and played music since the time of Woodstock, come on out and see the grand foot stomping good time they put on.
